We celebrated Carsyn's birthday with our close friends and family on Feb 19 at the house. Had a great time with lots of kids around. Here's the highlights:
This girl was ready to !!! And what's that going on in the background?
... oh yeah, that's Amber's dad and Aunt Ashley jamming to Just Dance 2 on Wii...
Tanner, Carsyn, and the Howell kids (Alyse and Grant) paying Hungry hungry Hippos...
Tanner and one of his very best friends, Alyse...
Carsyn going on a shopping spree...
OK York boys, what's going on over there to the right that's got your attention?
Carsyn munching on her dinner...
Chris took Tanner, Dane, Landon, and Alyse on a walk around the block. Had to burn off some of that older kid energy somehow!
Carsyn getting excited for her Dora cake...
Tanner and Mommy helping out with the candle...
It's always awesome to get such a great family picture...
Tanner enjoying his cake and ice cream...
... and Carsyn too...
Brooks seemed to connect the idea of him taking his shirt off with getting some cake...
"Ugh, I'm pretty full."
Brooks and Carsyn trying to get a peak over the top of a huge gift (play vanity)...
The older kids, while extremely excited for this part of the evening. were very patient while Carsyn took her time opening her presents...
Finally, a funny movie of Carsyn that pretty much sums her up when she's in one of her silly moods (our favorite)...

February Catchup
Some pics we never posted from the end of January and early February, when we were still cheering on the Steelers, Tanner had three birthday parties in one weekend, and Carsyn got a special "gift" from Mommy and Daddy...
Daddy and his special girl...
The kids getting along great and obviously happy to be together...
... of course, we're getting a lot of this too. Thankfully, for now, it's coming with smiles and giggles, but we're pretty sure that's going to only last for so long...
Carsyn gets all excited as if she's beaten the Almighty Tanner...
One tired little girl...
Tanner showing Carsyn how his top he got at a birthday party works...
But it didn't stop her form conquering him again...
Carsyn at a Roll-a-round party for Tanner's friend. This is a new tricycle she got from Mia and Pop Pop Ligetti for Christmas...
...but she enjoyed pushing it around the most...
Cutie Pie and mommy...
Normally, a picture of the back of someone's head is one for the trash, but this was just too cute...
Tanner cruising around on his bike (getting antsy for Spring!!!)...
Mommy and Daddy decided to get Carsyn's ears pierced for her birthday. Tanner was quite the happy camper after Daddy told him he didn't need to get shots in his ears...
Carsyn ever so watchful of the strange girl and her tools...
We obviously had the binky handy so the people in the mall didn't feel the need to call 911 from the screaming...
Check the next few blogs for the pictures of her new bling!

We're a 2 Car Family Again!!!
For those that have been asking (and I suppose those that had no idea), we are officially back to having two cars in the Ligetti household! If you weren't aware, Amber was in an accident last December along I-80, and while thankfully, she was not injured, and the kids were not with her, the Trailblazer did incur some significant damage. Tack that repair onto the repair of Amber's Saturn the week before the accident (maintenance related), and it's been over 2 months (minus a week rental) with only one car!
We handled the first month of one car pretty well, actually getting used to new morning and evening routines to get everyone to school and work. But I have to say the last few weeks has been wearing on us, and the constant call backs of new problems showing up in the repair process wasn't helping. We're just glad we're all OK and that the weather should be getting better in the weeks to come.
Some parting thoughts and suggestions for you. Even though there is no guarantee that by following them, an accident still won't happen, please do consider. We wouldn't ask if you weren't someone we cared about:
1. Drive a little slower today
2. Put down the cell phone when you're in the car
3. If the roads are bad, really think whether or not you need to be out
And finally...for goodness sakes, call your insurance company and make sure you have rental car coverage!!!
